Just bought another lighting fixture, this one to replace an icky ceiling fan in the living room of our new house. A steal from Overstock!
Considering this one below for the "dining" room, which we will use as a piano/library room. what do you think? I have been all over town, and can't find anything in my price range that I like! I actually don't know the price on this one yet, need to call lighting guy.

I have a love hate relationship with ceiling fans. I love what they do to help cool us on hot days or move the air on cooler ones. I HATE how they look. I have 4. I draw the line at over the kitchen table - that choice is so bizarre to me.

I love both of these lamps. I think the one you are considering for the piano/library is gorgeous. And can I just say how jealous I am that you are going to have a piano/library? Sounds dreamy!
i love that it is so easy to find great looking, affordable drum-shade fixtures! two years ago, when i was remodeling a house, they were almost impossible to find.
i love the little chain detail on the chandelier you are considering...and it has a really unique/updated shape, but still retains that classic feel.

The library/piano one is a great traditional with a modern twist. Looks great.
I wish I were brave enough to take down ceiling fans. Sigh.
