Oh my heavens, I really did swoon a bit when I saw this house featured on Beach Bungalow 8 the other day. I had to send the link to my husband pronto. I knew he'd appreciate it, Italianate architecture lover that he is. Take a look.
This house sits atop a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean near Santa Cruz, California. It was moved to its present location by a family who committed to restoring the 1872 mansion and was awarded the house for $1.00. They've done an impeccable job. Can you imagine life here? I can.
