Cara, the lovely girl behind Paperwhite Jewelry, has the most beautiful, wearable designs. I love her stuff, she incorporates beautiful colors and natural stones, but her pieces have a nice, modern simplicity to them that really appeals to me.
Let's take a little tour around her shop; these are some of my favorite items.
I could find a way to wear these red faceted teardrop earrings at least twice a week. They are right up my alley: understated yet apparent. And only $15.
This Pearl Necklace with Green Jade Pendant is also lovely. I'm pretty much gone for anything green; it's my weakness.
I love Cara's Grey Glory piece; it would easily punch up a tired-seeming black top with some shimmer and originality, especially since it hangs from grosgrain ribbon.
This piece recently sold, but I just love it. There's something very sophisticated about wearing a bright, bold necklace when it's not expected (like with a white shirt and jeans). Supa chic!
My favorite, and a new item in her shop, is this Turquoise and Mother of Pearl Necklace. That pearl bead is amazing, and I love the spherical shape of the turquoise beads. I've admired a necklace like this one which belongs to my sister-in-law. I like seeing turquoise "out of its element" (meaning, not in nugget form). So pretty!
Cara has generously offered to give away this little girls' Silver Necklace with Coral Pendant to a lucky commenter! It was one of the first pieces I was drawn to in her shop several months ago. It's designed for a young girl, so keep that in mind.

This morning my 6 yr old asked if I could curl her hair. Pigs are flying! Normally ponytail & jeans. Come summer, though, bring out the dresses. She would just "squeal" with delight over that necklace.

OH how I would love to wear ANY of these Gems, especially the red earrings or green necklace! I have always wanted beautiful jewerly, for me and my daughter, but cannot find it in our budget to splurge. My husband would say, "we cannot buy things like this on student loans!" I actually went to Michaels yesterday to buy something for my mom. I thought I would make her a necklace. How hard could it be? (was my thought.) Then I SOON learned that jewelry making is a true talent, one I don't possess.
